If I had to say there was one can’t miss spot for a weekend get away from Cartagena, it would have to be Tayrona National Park, located just north of Santa Marta. Colombia’s most well known national park, Tayrona offers beautiful scenery with the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountain range running into the Caribbean Sea and mostly unspoiled beaches.
Travel clichés abound everywhere, but some are worse than others. And I’m not talking about cliché places to visit, either. The Eiffel Tower, in all sincerity, is definitely worth a visit. Instead, here’s a list of travel clichés that, in my opinion, have come to the end of their journey.
In July 2010, Matt and Tran of Backpack Forever left their settled lives in Houston, Texas to embark on a five-month journey to Central and South America.
