This Old Place International Youth Hostel is actually located 27 kilometers outside of the city. It's a unique place to stay that is in the small town of Xingping. Xingping is 1740 years old and in the beautiful Li-River area. The hostel is about fifty meters from the Xingping port and has beautiful balconies with the rooms where you can enjoy the river view.
Most rooms have a private bathroom with western style toilet (with several exceptions including the three bed dorm, six bed dorm, and single room). Some rooms have balconies where you can relax in a rocking chair while watching the sunset over the river. The hostel also has a rooftop bar where many guests enjoy relaxing. If you want to experience something different and a little off the beaten path, then this is a great hostel to choose.
