The hostel is in a valley that is between Mrsinj and Pljesevica Mountain that is a great place to base yourself is you want to enjoy the area's best hiking and biking trails. There are many different outdoor activities in the area including kayaking and mountaineering. To reach the hostel, make sure you take a bus to Korenica and not Plitvice. From Korenica, it's a five minute walk to the hostel. In town there are three supermarkets, a post office, restaurants, cafes, bars, and everything you could need.
The hostel has some great amenities for guests including a nice common area where you can relax, play board games, or enjoy a drink with other guests. There is also free wi-fi, luggage storage, an outdoor patio, and a barbecue area. Guests can also us a shared kitchen to prepare their meals.

If you don't have your own car, you must rely on others to help you get around as the hostel is remote and not close to many places. Buses are hard to find at night and it can be difficult to reach the lakes on your own schedule. If you have your own car, this is a great option. It really feels more like a home than a traditional hostel, so if you're looking for a relaxing retreat, then this is a good place to stay.

Also located in the heart of Plitvice Lakes National Park, Villa Jezerka sits in a beautiful natural setting that will take your breath away. It's easy to walk to the hiking trail that goes around the lake. There is also a pizza restaurant and a market less than a kilometer away. If you have your own food, you can use the shared guest kitchen to prepare your own meals. This is a convenient and budget friendly way to eat in the area.
The hostel has wi-fi throughout. Although breakfast is not included in the price of the room, it is available for an addition six euro fee.
This hostel makes a great base for exploring the area. The staff can help you with any directions or information you may need. There are no dorms but there are a range of private room types available. Basic doubles and triples are available and you can choose between shared and private bathrooms.
