Minibuses, or jitneys serve as the public transit for the Nassau area. You can pick them up on Bay Street. The most famous route is number 10 which picks people up on George and Bay Streets and shuttles them to Cable Beach. Other routes are available as well. They don't operate on a schedule and usually leave only once they're full. Be sure and confirm your jitney is going to your desired destination, because the system can be confusing.

One trip costss $1.25, and there is no round trip discount. Make sure you have exact change and it's important to know they stop running everyday between 6 and 7pm.
