Camel Rides from Gorom Gorom

By backpackguru on Nov 26, 2011 in Entertainment
Gorom Gorom is a great place to start a camel ride into the desert. It's a quintessential African experience. You can spend the night under the countless stars and wake up to the sunrise in the desert. There are guides in Gorom Gorom who can set this experience up for you, but be selective in your guide and negotiate hard because the price can be quite high. If you decide to spend the night in the desert, pack a jacket, blankets, and warm cloths because the temperature can drop unexpectedly low. Also be prepared for the challenges of riding a camel, which can be quite uncomfortable, and sometimes painful.
