Libya is currently a very unstable country and visiting is very discouraged.

The country itself is quite diverse with a range of climate zones. The two most common environmental zones are Mediterranean and Saharan. In the low lying coast it is predominately Mediterranean, while inland the weather becomes far more desert like.

The official language for the country is Arabic, but in smaller towns in rural setting Berber and Touareg are still a common language used.
