If you're looking to rent a car in Tanzania, you definitely want to make sure it's a 4x4 SUV. The roads can be challenging, particullarly if you're in national parks and doing a safari. You best options will be the Land Cruiser, Hilux Suf, and Range Rover vehicles. You'd do best to skip the mini-SUVs which include Toyota RAV4 and Honda CRV. They're not as great on the roads in poor conditions. Read some reviews before you choose and make sure you're comfortable with the car provided.
