The Dover Castle Hostel, Bar and Flatshares Agency is located in the centre of London, just a few minutes from London Bridge. We aim to provide backpackers and international travellers with an accommodation "one shop" stop. Our helpful and friendly staff can offer you comfortable dorm beds for short stays and rooms in house shares and whole apartments for longer staying guests.

We are located very close to the trendy South Bank of the River Thames, just a short walk from London Bridge.

We want our guests to relax and enjoy London. Our hostel is clean, secure and our international staff are helpful and friendly. We are only a short walk to major tourist sighs, such as Tower Bridge, Tower of London, St. Paul's Cathedral, Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, Borough food market, London Eye, Houses of Parliament, Big Ben and Westminster Abbey.

In the Dover Bar you can enjoy various beers and ciders at a discounted guest price all day and night. Also when guests check in to the hostel they are entitled to a free welcome drink at the bar. The Bar offers cheap eats, such as pizzas, chicken wings, and potato wedges. The Bar also has a pool table and juke box and is an awesome place for socializing with other international guests as well as local Londoners. Thursday nights the bar often has live music - so come and dance and sing!

Our staff will also help guests find their way around London, arrange airport shuttles, taxi services, free walking tours of London, and help guests to find cool places to party in London.

The Dover Castle is located just 1 minute walk from Borough Underground Station. We are also just 5 minutes walk from London Bridge and the River Thames and about 15 minutes away from Waterloo Train Station.

From the Hostel you can walk to many amazing sights and tourist attractions. We are within walking distance of Tower Bridge, the Tower of London, The London Eye, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Borough Market, Shakespeare's Globe Theatre and the Tate Modern Art Gallery. Over the River Thames is our famous Houses of Parliament, Big Ben and Westminster Abbey. For relaxing and partying, there are many trendy bars, cafes and restaurants along the Southbank of the Thames and the world famous Ministry of Sound nightclub is just a short walk away.

From London Bridge it is a short train or tube ride to the West End of London where shopaholics get get busy shopping in the stores of Oxford Street or the upmarket (and expensive!) boutiques of Bond Street. In this area are also the tourist attractions of Covent Garden, Buckingham Palace and Trafalgar Square are also located.

We have a number of great value restaurants next to the Hostel - you can enjoy English, Indian, Chinese or Mediterranean food all at reasonable prices. Or you can venture a short ride to bustling China town in Soho or enjoy an Indian meal at an authentic curry house on Brick Lane.

The Dover Castle Hostel is located next to Borough Underground Station on the Northern (Black) Line. This is one underground station south of London Bridge and one station north of Elephant and Castle. At Borough Underground Station and cross directly over the junction to Great Dover Street. We are just 1 minute walk down Great Dover Street on the right hand side at number 6.

We are also close to London Bridge Underground and Train Stations. From London Bridge you can walk 5 minutes down Borough High Street to Borough Station and Great Dover Street.

From Waterloo or Paddington train stations, take the Bakerloo underground line south to Elephant and Castle and then the Northern line one stop north to Borough.

From Heathrow airport, take the Piccadilly Line east to Green Park and then take the Jubilee line east to London Bridge. From London Bridge either walk or take the Northern Line one stop south to Borough.

From Gatwick Airport, take the overland train from the South Terminal to London Bridge. From London Bridge either walk down Borough High Street or take the Northern Line on the underground one stop south to Borough.

From London Stansted Airport, take either the Stansted Express train or the bus (much cheaper) to Liverpool Street. From Liverpool Street take bus 35 south to Borough.

From Luton Airport, take the overland train to London Bridge or St Pancras Train Stations. Then switch to the Northern Underground line and travel south to Borough station.
