Our hostel has a defined philosophy: respect and knowledge among backpackers. If you are planning of getting drunk, which leads to become disrespectful towards the rest of our guests, bothering our neighbors, or breaking the good vibes, then this is not the right place for you.

We are backpackers just like you, and we want people to enjoy the hostel and it’s good vibe, have a beer, enjoy it and relax. If you are that kind of person, then this is the right place for you.

Here at Mambo Tango you will find a cozy, young ambiance, where human values and feedback, plus an excellent service, make up a better illusion to continue your travel. All this can be achieved starting from the point that this is a house, and the dimensions of this house let people get together…interact…in a neighborhood where you will find all you can imagine! Try it yourself and you’ll understand!

Mambo Tango offers quality services, as the house has been modified to suit as best as possible the backpacker’s needs.

You will find mixed-rooms with different amounts of people, always with the bed-linen and breakfast included in the price. We also offer you a great lounge room, so nice that you won’t feel like going out, where you will enjoy different kinds of activities: typical Catalonian food, group-walks, movie sessions, photo exhibitions and so much more!!!

Mambo Tango Youth Hostel: good music, good vibes, as soon as you get in, you’ll feel right at home.

We are not a party hostel, so we do not accept disrespectful behaviour. Respecting others is one of our biggest strengths. Thanks!

Mambo Tango is in the heart of the city, in a few minutes walking you can get to the famous Ramblas and Catalunya square, the Barceloneta’s beach, Montjüic mountain, where you will relax and enjoy the paronamic views of the city, and all the most interesting places in Barcelona, like museums, parks, shops, theatre, pubs and much more!

We are in Poble sec, this is a district with an old architecture, the hostel’s building was built in 1893, that make’s our home a special place. We also have some activities so you can meet people in the hostel and enjoy many different activities in the city!

It’s a multicultural district but there are also local restaurants which have “tapas”, pubs, discos to dance and to listen live music, etc.

Come and see! We are waiting for you!!

Please by aware about pick pockets in Barcelona. They make very good tricks, be aware specially at the metro, Placa Espanya and placa Catalunya when you are arriving with all your belongings on you- never leave your bag for a second!

If you arrive by plane, Prat Airport: you should take the “Aerobus”, get off at the last stop “Plaça Catalunya”, take there the metro line 3 (green line) and stop at Paral•lel station. (Check 'from metro station “Paral•lel”). Girona Airport: you should take the bus and get off at the last stop Barcelona Nord Station (check 'if you arrive by bus').

If you arrive by train “Sants Station”, you should take the metro, line 3 until Paral•lel station (check 'arriving by metro').

If you arrive by bus “Barcelona Nord”, you have to take the metro L1 (red line) until Plaça Catalunya where you have to change the line, taking line 3 (green line) and get off in Paral•lel station, take the exit Sant Pau, and then Fontrodona. When you gett of the metro just walk straight 1minute, when you see KFC turn to the left! The street is called Poeta Cabanyes, so walk to the number 23!

From the Metro Station “Paral•lel” (green line – L3) you have to take the exit Sant Pau, and then Fontrodona. When you get of the metro just walk straight 1 minute, when you see Domino's Pizza turn to the left! The street is called Poeta Cabanyes, so walk to the number 23!
