On the outskirts of the Kabbalistic city Safed, you'll find us, a perfect place for touring the Galilee and Northern Israel. We are a clean, friendly place where you can relax and feel on vacation while still being minutes away from most major attractions: 3 Km from Biriya forest, 3 Km from the Old city of Safed, 9 Km from Rosh Pina (Northern Israels' center for Bars/Restaurants etc), 15 Km from Mt. Beatitude, 25 Km from the Sea Of Galilee, 30 Km from the Golan Heights, 50 Km from Akko, and 50 Km from Nazareth.
Dormitory rooms have En-Suite (shower & toilet), linens and towels. They hold two or three beds each.
Spacious private rooms include cable TV, bathtub or Jacuzzi, coffee corner and refrigerator and use of Dry Sauna and Hot Tub.
Guest Kitchen, Lobby, Internet access (and WIFI in rooms) are available for free.
Dorms:
23 beds in 9 rooms!!! Dorm-rates but no bunk-beds!! Our dorms offer two to three beds in a room, each room with its own shower, toilet and sink. Linens, soap and towels are included. No walking through other rooms to get to your bed: your key-chain holds a room key, your personal locker key (no charge), and a key to guest kitchen and lobby. There is no curfew, come and go as you please, just please consider your fellow-travelers. Rooms are centrally heated in winter and air-conditioned in summer.
Kitchen:
The Guest kitchen offers free coffee/tea, cold water purified and mineralized, and a place to cook-your-own meal and eating area. The Guest lobby offers an internet facility WIFI access (rooms also have Wi-Fi), TV corner, games (backgammon, chess, and more)…

The Safed Inn - Mt. Cna'an, Safed, Israel We are about 2 1/2 hours DRIVE north of Ben-Gurion International Airport. You can take any train north to Akko (there is a train in the airport) and get on an Egged Bus # 361 to Zefat (Safed has lots of different spellings). There are buses leaving about every 1/2 hour.
DRIVING INTRUCTIONS TO THE SAFED INN -RUCKENSTEIN B&B
Take route 90 north* to ROSH PINA. At the traffic light of Rosh Pina, make a LEFT turn and at the first round-a-bout make another LEFT turn. Make a RIGHT turn at the next round-a-bout which will put you on route 8900. Drive UP the mountain for about 9.3 Km. When you see a small shopping center on your RIGHT (it has a sign in English of a New Pharm and a DELEK petrol station) slow down and make a RIGHT turn just after the parking lot of the shopping center. Drive up the hill for 1.5 Km (passing the veterinarian sign on your right and making the big left curve, passing the Villa Galilee on your right, passing the big hotel Canaan Spa on your right and curving with road to the right AFTER passing the Canaan Spa. The Safed Inn is on the left side of the road at the next junction.
• Please note that if you are driving on route 90 north via Tiberias, you need to stay as close to the water as possible (that is keeping on route 90) – Route 90 runs from the farthest north of Israel to the farthest south of Israel – it is ALL in Israeli territory – not in the west bank or the Palestinian Authority.
If you are coming from the other direction (Haifa/Akko) then
Go EAST on route 85 until it joins route 866, follow that to route 8900 (EIN ZETIM JUNCTION – the sign says ZEFAT NORTH and BIRIYA) it's a LEFT turn and then an immediate RIGHT turn. From that junction, drive for 5 minutes and make a LEFT turn at the sign saying BIRIYA FORT and BAT YA’AR (it's directly across from the main entrance to the town of Zefat). Go UP the hill and at the round-a-bout make a RIGHT turn. Drive up the hill and make another RIGHT turn and PARK!!! The Safed Inn is on that corner.
Important! All public transportation stops mid-day Friday and resumes only Saturday evening.

When driving - head north and continue as follows:
From route 90 turn into Rosh-Pina and go on route 8900 up to the junction saying Kiryat-Sara on the outskirts of Safed. Go up the hill for 1 mile. We are on the left at the next junction. From route 85 turn at the crossroads into route 866 and proceed north till you meet with the 8900. Feel free to call us anytime and we will guide you from anywhere in Israel.
