**** Notice about Rome's new tourist tax ****
Rome City Council decided to charge 2 Euros per person per night on tourists who visit Rome. It is implemented from the 01/01/2011. This is unfortunately NOT included in the accommodation fee, upon making reservation please consider this extra fee in your budget.
Rome City Hostel is situated near La Sapienza University a 15 minute walk from the central station Termini and the perfect base to stay in Rome and experience a traditional Roman culture as well as being in the Historical city centre close to all the famous sites such as the Colosseum, Trevi fountain, spanish steps and only 15 minutes ride from the Vatican City and St Peters Basilica.
We are 5 minutes from the nearest Metro station Policlinico or the bus stops right outside the hostel.
From the main Train Station (Termini Station )Step 1: Exit to P.zza dei Cinquecento and take Bus no. 310>Step 2: Get down after 4th stop (4 fermate ). Our hostel is in front and in right side of the bus stop. We are in building number 91 (Viale Ippocrate).
From FUIMICINO AIRPORTFollow the signs for "ai treni." At the platform, buy a ticket for the non-stop train to Termini (about €10). You can buy tickets from either the ticket window, the vending machines, or the tabacco store near the tracks.
From CIAMPINO AIRPORTThe blue Cotral Bus service connects Ciampino Airport to the Anagnina metro (underground) station and costs approximately €1.25. Tickets can be purchased at the vending machines located at the bus stop or inside the airport. Once you arrive at Anagnina, buy a metro ticket (€1 approximately) and get off at the Termini stop (about the 15th stop).Don't forget to validate your ticket with the little orange or yellow boxes before you get on the train.Duration: around 45 minutes to an hour.
From CIAMPINO AIRPORT (Taking Shuttle Bus going to Termini - Main Train Station)Step 1: Take a bus shuttle going to termini and bus shuttle will stop in Via Marsala ( left side of termini station).
Step 2: In front of Terminal station (TERMINI STATION), take bus no. 310. Get down after 4th stop (4 fermate ). Our hostel is in front and in right side of the bus stop. We are in building number 91 (Viale Ippocrate).
