Hostel Krumlov House provides more than just the comforts of home. Here you'll find friendly English and Czech speaking staff and your beds freshly made with clean linens. We are the only hostel in town that is 100% non-smoking and eco- and family-friendly. A well-equipped kitchen filled with spices, tea, coffee, and all that you need for inspiring cook-fests. Book exchange, musical instruments, board games and a huge selection of DVDs.
Upon arrival, we will show you our special town map with all the great places to eat, drink and be merry. We're happy to book you an hour horse-riding in the woods, a massage with one of the town's best masseuses or a boat ride along the river.
It is best to book a minimum of two nights. Cesky Krumlov needs to be savoured, not sampled. Believe us when we say that even two nights isn't enough. Krumlov House guests stay an average of 4 nights and more than 20 percent are repeat customers. Many of our doubles can be converted to triples or quads. If you need to add additional people to your reservation, contact us directly so we can adjust the prices accordingly.
We are child-friendly, but children under 18 are not allowed in the mixed dorm rooms.
Reception closes at 8pm!
Staying at Krumlov House is like staying at a friend's. With that in mind, please plan to arrive before 8pm. If you are going to be late, please call, text, or email us or risk losing your booking.
You will find us at the end of Rooseveltova street on the right hand side, exactly 263 metres from the town square (yes, we've measured it out!). Next to us is U Baby Restaurant. Across the street is a mechanic's shop and Pension Falko
Taking the Student Agency bus from Prague (you don't have to be a student) or Ceske Budejovice is the quickest and easiest way to get to Krumlov. The bus station in Ceske Budejovice is above the large shopping centre, 'Mercury Centrum' across the street from the train station. Check the display inside the bus station for the platform number for buses leaving for Cesky Krumlov.
When you arrive in Krumlov, get off at the main station, AN - 'Autobusove Nadrazi', the last stop. It's a large station with about 20 bus stands. A lot of locals get off at other stops, so it can be confusing. Just stay on until the bus goes no further and the driver gives you a funny look.
From the main bus station walk towards the castle tower towards the far end of the station (bus stands 22 and 23..), then left up a path that overlooks the town, and then downhill, crossing the main street., With Bowling on your right and Supermarket Coop on your left, walk straight about 20 meters. Then take a sharp left onto Rooseveltova Street. Follow Rooseveltova almost to the end (do not veer off to the right, or go downhill!). You will pass a few pensions, but keep walking for about 1 minute and you'll find Krumlov House on the right, with a cool dragon door and a large wooden number 68.
These are very complete directions, and it won't take you more than 10 minutes to get to our door from the bus station.
