It has family home stay atmosphere. Price range more like hostel. Restructured and decorated from top to bottom in 2008, with western loos and h/c showers.
Rooms are available with attached bathroom, hot and cold shower & western loo with free wireless (Wi-fi) Internet Connection 24 hours.
With back-up electricity, inverter, the fans do not go off in the middle of the night
It is run by C. Madhav Rao (Madho), his wife Smt. Indra Rao (Indu) and son Shwetank Rao (Monu).
Monu, a fluent English speaker, is a tabla player. He offers music lessons for Sitar, Tabla, Flute, Vocal, Dance and all other Indian Classical Music.
Teaching is our family tradition.

Monu Guest House is located very near to the famous Golden Temple and the main ghats.
Now your target is the famous Golden Temple street called the Vishwanath Gali or the Tripura Bhairavi Gali "Lane" they both will bring you at our place.
Our street is called "Kalika Gali". We are up an alleyway so it's not that easy to find us, but once you get to the city center near the famous Ghat called Dashashwamedh Ghat (main ghat) you can easily find your way. We are 5 or 6 minutes slightly uphill until you find the Golden Temple.

Ring us and we will meet you, we are so central that it is not a straightforward thing to find us! We are in a quiet laneway between two main shopping streets, beside the Kashi Vishwanath Temple 'Golden Temple.' One street leads direct to the centre of Varanasi, the other past Manikarnika, the holy burning ghat for Hindus. Both are five minutes’ walk from here. Yes, this really is the centre of old Varanasi.
If you would like us to meet you at the train station at no extra charge to your initial transport costs we are happy to do so.
