Not only is this little gem well located it is also steeped in history and well facilitated. Originally established as a friendly meeting place for Indian diplomats on a mission in London in 1946, the Hotel Strand Continental retains the same informal and casual atmosphere today.
Facilities also include a 1940's styled bar and restaurant perfect for meeting other travellers.
All rooms have washbasins, shared bathroom facilities, linens provided and dorms are all mixed. Sorry, no lift!

From Charing Cross station walk east (away from Trafalgar Square) down the Strand and 143 is on the right. 10 minutes.
From Covent Garden make a right on Long Acre heading east and then a right on Bow Street/Wellington. 143 Strand is across from the Lyceum Theatre. 10 minutes.
From Temple Station make a left and walk up Arundel Street. Then a left on the Strand and 143 is on the left. 5 minutes.
