MelonDistrict is the largest student residence hall in Barcelona, besides being a new concept in student and tourist accommodation, located very close to the street Marina. MelonDistrict offers both double and twin bed rooms for daily stays, with a private bathroom, a cooking lounge to cook, socialize and relax, and a rooftop pool to enjoy the Barcelona climate during the summer. MelonDistrict also offers parking for cars and motorcycles. The multicultural environment of this place is a result of the international students who live in MelonDistrict for long periods of time.
Melon District Marina is located in the 22@ district, two minutes away from subway stop L1 Marina, which is on the same line as Pl. Catalunya and Pl. España, where the Fira of Barcelona (Barcelona’s main exhibition center) is located. The residence is also very close to the famous Sagrada Familia and Barcelona’s beaches
From the Marina metro stop, line 1 (red) the residence hall is 400 metres away. Line 1 connects directly with Plaza Cataluña and the Estación Del Norte, the station where the buses from the Girona airport arrive and depart.
From the Barcelona Airport:
Take the Airbus in front of the airport terminal (leaves every 8 minutes from 5:30 a.m. until 12:00 a.m.) and get off at Plaza Cataluña. Go to the Cataluña metro stop on line 1 (red) in the “Fondo” direction and get off at the Marina metro stop. From the Francia Train Station:Take metro line 4 (yellow) at the Barceloneta metro stop in the “La Pau” direction and get off at Bogatell. Walk 6 minutes on Zamora Street until you reach Sancho de Avila Street. From Estación Del Norte Bus Station:Take metro line 1 (red) at the Arc de Triumph metro stop in the “Fondo” direction and get off at the Marina metro stop. Generally Ryanair buses arrive and depart from the Estación Del Norte.
