This old Moroccan home, with central court-yard, has been lovingly restored by Sue Hunt, a Zimbabwean lady, into a charming B&B / serviced apartments, using traditional building methods and materials, (including Thuya branch ceilings), but, incorporating modern toilet, and kitchen, facilities.
Ideally suited to everyone - individual travellers, small groups of friends, or, families. Children are most welcome, but would need to be supervised as the stairs are not "child-proof". We speak English, French, Italian and Arabic.
Please note that only cash payments in Euros or Dirhams, are accepted. We do not accept payment with any sort of bank cards including Mastercard, Visa. These are required ONLY when confirming a reservation.
Essaouira is an historic fishing port on the Atlantic coast of Morocco, well known for its laid back atmosphere, long sandy beach and its well-preserved old walled medina. It has a wonderful, relaxing atmosphere that attracts writers and artists. The medina is in fact now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, being an example of a late 18th century fortified town. Wander around the streets and discover traditional arts and crafts still being practiced today.
If you're a watersports fan, or want to try something new, then the windsurfing in Essaouira is great, with powerful tradewinds blowing over the almost waveless bay. Given its coastal location, there is also plenty of delicious seafood on offer!
Essaouira is 170km west of Marrakech, about 2.5 hours drive or bus ride.
We are able to arrange taxis to collect you directly from the airport in Marrakech. Please enquire.
Lunetoile is at the top end of the main tourist road, Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdullah, away from the square. We meet all of our clients, and we kindly request that they please call us before they arrive, giving us the time of their arrival.
