Ares Rooms is the ideal Bed & Breakfast for a pleasant stay in Rome for vacation, business or study. Sincerely welcoming and friendly Ares Rooms ' location is as attractive as it is convenient.
This simple yet comfortable and very intimate establishment is located on the 5th floor (there's a lift!) of a solid beautiful late-19th century building, on the highest point of the historical centre of Rome.
Several of the rooms, which are situated on three sides of the building, offer beautiful views and panoramic glimpses of monuments such as the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore, Piazza Venezia and Saint Peter's in the Vatican; others benefit from the silence of the well-kept picturesque interior courtyards.
Ares Rooms is located at about 100 m from the Patriarchal Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore and about 250 m from Rome's main Termini Rail Station (a major transport hub for mainline/local rail services, rail service to/from "Leonardo da Vinci" International Airport at Fiumicino, metro (underground railway) lines A ad B, with a post office and brand-new shopping mall).
Ares Rooms is on the border between the historical Roman districts of Esquilino and Monti, at a stone's throw from the ancient Basilica of Santa Prassede (with its beautiful medieval mosaics) and the Palazzo Brancaccio (which houses a theatre with the same name and the Oriental Art Museum).
This area of Rome is very vibrant, with many art and handicraft studios and shops, lively restaurants, pubs and wine bars to suit all ages and tastes and attracting a curious, discerning and cosmopolitan crowd. A short walk away are other major attractions, such as the Lateran Complex (Basilica and Cathedral of San Giovanni Laterano, with its Battistero and the Scala Santa or Holy Steps), the Church of San Pietro in Vincoli (which houses the renowned sculpture of Moses by Michelangelo), Emperor Nero's Domus Aurea and the Colosseum, the Roman and Imperial Forums, Piazza Venezia square and many other fascinating and extraordinary historic, artistic and religious monuments and sites.
How to reach us:
Within walking distance from Termini Railway Station, air terminal, Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore.
By walk: exit from Termini train station on the side of Via Giolitti, follow the road and after few meters turn right into Via Gioberti and proceed, at the end you will find Santa Maria Maggiore Church.
Here there is a big square where Via Merulana starts, enter via Merulana and the second on your right is Via Domenichino, where Ares Rooms is located at number 7.
From Fiumicino Airport, get the train to Termini central station and from here is just few minutes walk to Ares Rooms (see above directions).
