Clean, quiet and comfortable rooms in the heart of Rome. Just a few steps from the Coliseum and the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, just in front of a subway station, and very close to the main train station.
Just get out from the front door and enter the subway station "Vittorio Emauele" (15 feet from the door!). Subway is really cheap (1 €, no matter how long you run) and allows you to reach every important point of the city centre, i.e.: Piazza di Spagna in 5 minutes, Vatican in 9 minutes, the Lateran 2 minutes, etc. You can even use subway to get to the beach (45 minutes) or to the archaeological ruins of the ancient roman harbour Ostia (50 minutes).
BREAKFAST:
We serve breakfast directly in the apartment, with daily fresh croissant, coffee or cappuccino or tea included in the price, that you can have in your room as well, if you wish.
We are just over the top of Colle Esquilino (one of the famous seven hills), in an area called for "the heart of Rome" by writers such as Carlo E. Gadda, and Amara Lakhous. Roman nobleman Mecenas built his gorgeous villa here; today, people from all over the world here walk, work, and enjoy. The ancient Arch of Gallienus (3rd c.) and famous restaurants Trattoria Monti and Agarta e Romeo are next to our door. Events, concerts and festivals occur very often in the park of next square (piazza Vittorio), few steps away. All around, dozens of stalls sell flowers. Shops, supermarkets, snack-bars, the most inexpensive discount in Italy ("MAS"), and many little coloured and happy knick-knack shops surround the area.
From Fiumicino FCO ("Leonardo da Vinci") Airport: There are 2 trains every hour, from dawn to night, connecting Fiumicino airport with Termini station (Leonardo express). Price 15€, run every 30 minutes.
A taxi costs around 40€, and takes 30/40 minutes.
From Ciampino CPO Airport: There are several bus companies connecting Ciampino Airport with Termini station very often.
From Termini Station:
Take the left hand side exit for Via "Giolitti". Walk until the newspaper kiosk at the corner with Via Gioberti. Take via Gioberti until the Basilic of Santa Maria Maggiore (3 blocks from the station). From the square in front of the church starts Via Carlo Alberto (left side hand). We are at n. 63, just outside the subway stop "Vittorio Emanuele", on the right side of the street.
If you prefer, we can organize a pick-up service at the fix price of 40,00 euro per way, 1 up to 3 people from/to both Rome's airports.
Once you ring the intercom, wait for several seconds because the call will be sent to a net connection. Once you get in the building, Sixbeds is on the 4th floor of the second ramp ("Scala II"), after the internal court.
IMPORTANT: Seeing as we don't have a reception, with a view to assist you in the best way at check in please inform us carefully about your arrival time and we will be at Sixbeds waiting for you!
