The Travelers House Hotel in Cairo, Egypt is strategically located in a very central part of the city. It's in the middle of the downtown area and is within a short walk of most of the area's top tourist attractions. There are many interesting spots nearby and you'll also find no shortage of Egyptian restaurants, cafes, and shopping areas. It's also well connected with Cairo's public transportation system, so from here you have access to most popular neighborhoods around the city. It's also very close to some international banks and grocery stores, so anything you may possibly need is almost always close by.
The Travelers House offers spacious and clean rooms that have high ceilings and very nice furniture. The rooms all have air conditioning and the temperature is quite pleasant, even during the hottest summer months. The staff speak English and are readily available to offer you any kind of advice and suggestions. They have plenty of tips on the best way to explore and experience the city to its fullest.
There is a large common room as well that has both a balcony and a satellite TV. It's a great place to make new friends and swap travel stories and information. Visitors come from all over the world so you get and interesting and diverse perspective on things.
Travelers House is conveniently just an eight minute walk from the Egyptian Museum. It's also just two minutes from the subway and ten minutes from the main bus station. The main train station is an eleven minute walk and it's about twenty minutes to the city's oldest and most well known market, Khan el Khalili Bazaar.
The airport is a half hour away.
If you're coming from the airport you can easily catch a taxi for about sixty Egyptian Pounds. It's also possible to take the bus. Catch bus number 356 at the airport and get off at Tahrir Square. Continue on to Talaat Harb Street and then take a right onto 26 July Street. From there take a right onto Sherief Street and you'll get to your destination.
