[edit] NightlifeThe area is home to hundreds of bars, restaurants, boutiques and nightclubs and draws revelers from a wide range of backgrounds, especially university students, English teachers, and tourists. Most bars are open long into the night to allow patrons to return home by subway at 6am.
EventsThe last Friday of each month in Hongdae is "Club Day", a wristband-powered event which allows entry to more than a dozen clubs for the price of one. Revellers can expect long lines at popular clubs.
"Sound Day" is the independent music version of "Club Day" that happens on the 2nd Friday.
Every Saturday (except in winter) flea markets are held on the playground, close to the university. The flea markets care called the "Hope" and "Free" market. It's a fledgling craft market of things made by students and recent graduates. Saturday and Sunday offer different wares made by the students. Hongik University mainly being an art school. It's a great place to get some cheap art from up and coming artists in Korea.

Limousine #6002
'Hotel Seogyo (Gyungnam Wedding Hall)' station
1. Take '#6002' Limousine at INCHEON Airport.
2. Get off at 'Hotel Seogyo'(This is the second stop from Incheon airport. It will take about 50minutes)
3. Go down the main street(NE)in the same direction with the limousine.(70meters)
4. Turn right toward 'Hongik University'(SE) and go straight until you get the entrance of Hongik Univ(W).(330meters)
5. Turn right at the intersection in front of Hongik Univ,(Take an alley, not street) then you will see the 'Hongik free market / Musical park'.
6. Go the right along the street for about 120meters and turn right at the corner of 'Lens Factory'. You will see the signboard 'COME INN' on the top of your right sight.(35meters)
Subway line 2 - 'Hongik Univ' STATION(Green line)
Exit number '9'
1. Get off at 'Hongik Univ' STATION and get out through exit 9.
2. Walk down the main street and cross the street(WS) until 'VIPS' and then walk along the main street toward Hongik University.(145meters)
