Tree in Lodge is a brand new Green hostel located within 3 minutes walk from Bugis MRT station, a popular shopping and heritage district in central Singapore. There are many heritage walks and places of interest in the vicinity, such as Bugis Street Market, Little India, and Kampong Glam. It's great for travellers keen to explore the rich cultural heritage of Singapore and Asia.Bugis is also known for its lively night markets and variety of food and one is spoilt for choice by the options available within minutes from the hostel. However, the immediate area around the hostel itself is quiet by 11pm so there'll be adequate rest for the weary backpacker.
Being backpackers ourselves, we understand that the backpacker’s lodge contributes an important part of the whole experience. Yet in our travels to many places, we have also observed many unfortunate damages to the environment caused by the carbon footprints of travellers. The unique feature of the hostel lies in its environmentally-friendly practices. The hostel has a contract with recycling company to ensure that all materials collected in the recycling receptacles are actively and properly recycled. Only non-toxic cleaning products and energy-efficient appliances can be found. The accommodation is great for the responsible traveller.
We are located in the heart of the city, and less than 3 minutes’ walk from Bugis MRT station. It's also a stone's throw away from many places of interest in Singapore, such as Raffles Hotel, Bugis Street Market, Little India, Kampong Glam and the Civic District.
We are only 30mins (well, to be exact, 31mins) by MRT* from Changi International Airport to Bugis MRT station (EW12) on the East-West line (it's the green line on the MRT map).
From Bugis MRT station, follow Exit C to enter Bugis Junction.
After taking the escalators to ground level, cut across Bugis Junction (either through the “BHG” Shopping Mall or walk along the external retail shops) towards McDonald’s and Starbucks Coffee.
Ask for directions to McDonald’s or Starbucks Coffee if you cannot find the way – Don’t worry; Singaporeans are friendly enough to show you the way
You will see “North Bridge Road” in front of you.
Cross North Bridge Road towards “Tan Quee Lan Street”.
Walk 200m down Tan Quee Lan Street.
We are just round the corner! Entrance to the lift lobby is on side of the building facing the small alley.
