A hundred and two years ago this building was the biggest toy store in Budapest and 40 years ago it accommodated the best-known rock club in the communist block. The newly designed and fitted BAZAR Hostel with its 11 rooms now occupies part of this historic building situated close to all the best bars and clubs.
You’ll never feel lonely, in our spacious kitchen you can eat communally and in the spacious main lobby you can relax on comfortable couches and plan your night like a 22nd century Sultan.
Our staff are well travelled and culturally informed. Musicians, organizers and bar staff will tell you where to find the hidden secrets of the city, and if you want it, within one night they‘ll turn you into a virtual inhabitant of Budapest.
Along with its unique design, the hostel boasts rooms that are extremely comfortable, some including ensuite bathrooms and the remainder a generous sink and mirror combination.

Bazar Hostel is located in downtown Budapest on Dohany street in the VII. district, 1 minute away from Central Europe's biggest Synagogue. The district is famous of its bars, pubs and fashion shops. Transportation is easy as the metro stops one block from the hostel just as major bus and tram lines.
From Keleti International Train station
Take the red metro inside the building (ticket costs 320HUF) and get off after 2 stops at Astoria or you can also take bus number 5 or 7 or 173 and go 3 stops to Astoria. Walk back on Rakoczi ut one block and turn left on Sip utca. Go another very short block and you are on Dohany utca. The entrance is on Dohany utca on the left.
From Nepliget International bus station
Take the blue metro line (ticket costs 320HUF) north towards Ujpest Kozpont. Change lines at Deak Ferenc ter to the red line and exit after one stop at Astoria or just simply walk down on Karoly korut towards the Synagogue on continue on Dohany utca. It is a refreshing 10 minutes walk.
From Liszt Ferenc 1 or 2 Airport
Get the 200E shuttle bus (ticket costs 320HUF) to Kobanya Kispest. From here take the blue metro line (ticket costs 320HUF) north towards Ujpest Kozpont. Change lines at Deak Ferenc ter to the red line and exit after one stop at Astoria or just simply walk down on Karoly korut towards the Synagogue on continue on Dohany utca.
