Krabi Province is a popular beach destination at the Andaman Sea in Southern Thailand. Most visitors to the area stay in either Krabi Town (the province's capital), Ao Nang, or Railay Beach (Rai Leh). Ao Nang is a popular beach area for backpackers and it is the most developed beaches in the province. It has gained popularity with all types of travelers recently and there is a growing variety of accommodation options in the area. There are also many good restaurants and bars nearby. Transportation and travel agencies are abundant, so Ao Nang makes a good base for exploring the area.
Railay Beach is a more scenic spot than Ao Nang. It is a popular destination for rock climbing and it attracts climbers from around the world. Railay Beach is on a peninsula that is surrounded by the ocean and mountains. It can only be reached by boat and there are long-tails that leave from Ao Nang and Krabi Town frequently. The trip is ten minutes from Ao Nang and half an hour from Krabi Town.
