You could easily spend weeks exploring this beautiful region, but if you have less time, this 3-day road trip itinerary will guide you through several of Andalusia&#8217;s highlights. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ideally you can easily do this itinerary as a 3-day road trip from <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.budgetyourtrip.com\/spain\/malaga\" target=\"_blank\">Malaga<\/a> to <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Seville (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.budgetyourtrip.com\/spain\/seville\" target=\"_blank\">Seville<\/a>. However, you can also start and end in Seville (or Malaga, but I recommend Seville since it\u2019s much nicer). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For a trip like this, many people rent a car so that they have total control over their itinerary and time. We suggest you <a href=\"https:\/\/www.budgetyourtrip.com\/blog\/recommends\/car-rentals\/\" data-eafl-id=\"9855\" data-eafl-parsed=\"1\" class=\"eafl-link eafl-link-text eafl-link-cloaked\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">check out this website which compares all of the prices<\/a> across the different companies so that you can find the best rate for your trip dates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A summary of this 3-day Andalusia road trip:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Day 1:<\/strong> Ronda<\/li><li><strong>Day 2:<\/strong> Sierra de Grazalema, El Bosque, and Tajo del Aguila<\/li><li><strong>Day 3:<\/strong> Arcos de la Frontera and Seville<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Day 1: Marvel at the steep cliffs in Ronda<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you Google Ronda, you are guaranteed to come across some beautiful\npictures. But pretty as pictures can be, they can never fully capture an\nexperience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"850\" height=\"638\" src=\"https:\/\/www.budgetyourtrip.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Ronda-850x638.jpg\" alt=\"Ronda\" class=\"wp-image-10033\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.budgetyourtrip.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Ronda-850x638.jpg 850w, https:\/\/www.budgetyourtrip.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Ronda-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.budgetyourtrip.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Ronda-1920x1440.jpg 1920w, https:\/\/www.budgetyourtrip.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Ronda-600x450.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/><figcaption>Ronda, Spain<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">My pictures can\u2019t either, Ronda is simply too spectacular\u2026\nIt\u2019s impossible to capture how it feels to peer down the steep cliffs or to\nwalk across the bridge over the narrow gorge, separating one side of the\nvillage from the other. If you are anything like me, this will give you severe\nvertigo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s a mesmerizing sight at the same time, I couldn\u2019t tear my eyes of the magnificent scene of the river far below and the lovely white houses perched on the edge of the cliffs. Ronda is one of those places that makes this route one of the <a aria-label=\"undefined (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/theetlrblog.com\/most-scenic-road-trips-europe\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">most scenic road trips in Europe<\/a>, and it&#8217;s a must-see for any visitor to the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Besides the spectacular cliffs in the middle of town, Ronda has nice plazas, beautiful old buildings&nbsp;and cute narrow streets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where to stay<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you&#8217;re looking for budget hotel or hostel options, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.budgetyourtrip.com\/blog\/recommends\/ronda-spain-accommodation-options\/\" data-eafl-id=\"10026\" data-eafl-parsed=\"1\" class=\"eafl-link eafl-link-text eafl-link-cloaked\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">check out this list of budget places to stay<\/a>. A few of the best are the Alberge Los Molinos, El Refugio Hostel, and Hotel Morales. Also, there is an excellent campsite within walking distance of the city center of Ronda, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.campingelsur.com\/en\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Camping El Sur<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Day 2<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Drive the scenic A-372<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"850\" height=\"638\" src=\"https:\/\/www.budgetyourtrip.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Sierra-de-Grazalema-850x638.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10032\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.budgetyourtrip.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Sierra-de-Grazalema-850x638.jpg 850w, https:\/\/www.budgetyourtrip.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Sierra-de-Grazalema-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.budgetyourtrip.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Sierra-de-Grazalema-1920x1440.jpg 1920w, https:\/\/www.budgetyourtrip.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Sierra-de-Grazalema-600x450.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/><figcaption> Sierra de Grazalema<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Spanish summers are hot, especially in Andalusia, which is\nwhy it\u2019s smart to start your day early if you are visiting in June-August. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the morning: drive the very scenic A-372 through the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sierra_de_Grazalema_Natural_Park\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Sierra de Grazalema (opens in a new tab)\">Sierra de Grazalema<\/a>. It\u2019s a gorgeous road full of twists and turns, with beautiful views around every corner. Take your time, this isn\u2019t a road to drive fast!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Visit pretty El Bosque<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Stop in the pretty little village of El Bosque for a cup of\ncoffee or better yet, an extensive Spanish lunch with tapas and a glass of\nSangria (no alcohol if you\u2019re the driver of course). There are several nice options\nfor lunch in this typical Spanish town. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Around El Bosque there are good hiking opportunities, inquire at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.andalucia.org\/en\/contact-us\/cadiz\/el-bosque\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Visitor Centre of El Bosque (opens in a new tab)\">Visitor Centre of El Bosque<\/a> about the (condition of the) trails. At the Visitor Centre you can also learn more about the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where to stay<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Continue your journey over the beautiful road to the village Algar. Just past the village you can find Tajo del \u00c1guila, a rural mansion offering rooms and several cottages. From Algar, drive the\nCA-5221 until you arrive at the&nbsp;beautiful village Arcos de la Frontera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Perched high on a spectacular cliff, the view is\nbreathtaking, both from below as well as from the top. The center of Arcos de\nla Frontera is beautiful too, with steep narrow streets, cute cafes and little\nwhite houses. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Explore the highlights of Seville<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After exploring Arcos de la Frontera, hop back into your car and drive the remaining 90 kilometers to Seville. I\u2019m the first one to admit that an afternoon in Seville is not nearly enough to see everything this city has to offer. However, it\u2019s enough to give you a taste of Seville that will make you want to come back for more. This huge semi-circular plaza is the highlight of any Seville city trip. You can spend hours admiring the beautiful mosaics, numerous bridges and fountains.<\/li><li><strong>Seville Cathedral<\/strong> is the other must-see if you only have limited time in Seville.
