All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) are our\nfavorite way of exploring Iceland\u2019s countryside. Not only is this activity\nguaranteed to give you an adrenaline rush, but it will also give you a chance\nto explore stunning areas of the country that are not easy to reach. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The thing we loved about this thrilling\nactivity is that you control just much adrenaline you want coursing through\nyour veins. You can opt to cruise around and take in the scenery, or you can\nreach breakneck speeds, as ATVs can easily reach speeds of over 50 miles per\nhour. Just don\u2019t, you know, break your neck. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And don\u2019t worry; ATV rides are carefully\nplanned and organized in places that won\u2019t harm Iceland\u2019s ecosystem. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of our favorite experiences in Iceland was rafting on East Glacial River, which we booked with Extreme Iceland. It is a demanding course, not suitable for those faint of heart. But, true adrenaline junkies will undoubtedly enjoy this action-packed tour. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Ride A Snowmobile<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Sure, riding around on ATVs is pretty\nthrilling. But what about riding around on snowmobiles? You would be gliding\nacross glacier surfaces, which is bound to give you an adrenaline rush. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And if that doesn\u2019t sound exciting enough,\nbook one of the tours that includes riding on top of an active volcano. Yes, it\nis possible. Most of them are covered with very thick layers of ice, and\nknowing that you\u2019re on top of a rumbling volcano will definitely get your blood\npumping. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
