Travel Tips

The Casino de Monte-Carlo

By backpackguru on Nov 5, 2011 in Entertainment
Probably one of the most famous casinos in the world, the Casino de Monte-Carlo is very luxurious, but not nearly as large as you might expect. It has a very elegant feel, and is quite intimate and quiet. When you go outside, there are plenty of luxury automobiles parked out front, even further adding to the desired character of the place. There are less gambling stations in the casino than the Las Vegas counterparts, but the "less is more" approach gives the place a feeling of sophistication. The bar is also very quiet and you will not likely have to wait long for a drink. Don't head to the casino without your passport though as you will need it if you plan to gamble. Locals aren't allowed to use this casino.
