Royal Caribbean is a leading cruise line throughout the world. They pride themselves on offering top of the line service, high end amenities, and a memorable vacation to exotic destinations on a variety of continents. Aboard the ships passengers can enjoy a large number of activities and on board entertainment is a top priority. Activities include things such as climbing walls, ice skating rinks and wine bars.
Royal Caribbean offers cruises all over the world. Popular regions for cruising include the Caribbean, Europe, Asia and South America and cruises can vary in length from a few days to multiple weeks. Customers regularly offer high praises to Royal Caribbean's quality of service and level of activity aboard the ship. Shore excursions are generally well organized and a rewarding way to experience any port of call to its fullest extent. Whether your client is looking for a romantic honeymoon or an exotic trip to a tropical beach, Royal Caribbean will work hard to make sure their vacation is a trip of a lifetime.
Royal Caribbean also goes out of their way to make sure travel agents have access to a variety of amenities, resources and training programs. The company is regularly enhancing the programs they have available for agents, and they work hard to keep agents involved and enthusiastic about the cruises available. Feedback is taken seriously, and any problems or concerns you have will be handled and addressed promptly by the cruise line.
"Loyal To You Always" Travel Agent Program
In May, 2012, Royal Caribbean launched its "Loyal To You Always" Program for travel agents. The program is designed to strengthen the company's alliance with travel agents. Royal Caribbean works with all types of travel agents, whether they are homebased or brick and mortar agents, and provides many different perks and amenities to their affiliates. As part of the new program, Royal Caribbean is offering more opportunities for travel agents to travel with the cruise line and gain first hand experience on its many different ships.
The program is designed to focus on four different principles. These include personal interaction and support, resources that get results, increasing profits for travel agents and agent education and development programs. Face-to-face interaction for all travel agents is an important part of the program. There are also friends and family rates available that encourage ongoing benefits for travel agents working with the cruise line. Easy accessibility and regular training programs such as webinars are just a few benefits of this new program.
Royal Caribbean Online Training Program (Cruising for Excellence)
In 2006, Royal Caribbean launched its e-training program online for travel agents. The program, Cruising for Excellence online, has since been revamped and includes a 3-D web environment where agents can view cruise ships almost as if they were on board. The training program is award-winning and is run in conjunction with Royal Caribbean's partner companies of Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Club Cruises. It has been redesigned following feedback from travel agents who wished for a more interactive and engaging training setup. Agents also expressed an interest in getting closer to the ships, which they can now do through the 3-D viewing program. The program is available for the international community in 10 different languages.
The training covers Royal Caribbean's cruise ships, itineraries, and booking tools for agents. Travel agents who participate in the program can achieve various levels, such as a Cruise Apprentice, Cruise Specialist, or Cruise Expert. Training videos and quizzes are available to keep agents engaged and involved and there are modules which focus on each of the three cruise lines. As modules are completed, travel agents receive recognition and those travel agents who receive top scores are shown on a leaderboard, creating a sense of comradery and friendly competition.
Royal Incentive Rewards
The Royal Incentive Rewards program is a benefit program which encourages travel agencies to expand their business. Through the program, travel agents can purchase incentive cruise certificates which they can use to reward valuable clients or offer as part of a raffle or prize program. Travel agencies can also purchase the certificates and present them to their top selling agents as a motivator to increase productivity.
Some suggested uses for the certificates include rewards programs for clients, development of a loyalty program, prizes for sales contests, and rebates for high ticket items. The certificates do not expire and are upgradable and transferable.
The certificates come in different levels with Royal Crown Diamond being the highest level. This certificate, which is the ultimate reward, can be applied to sailing in the Caribbean, Mexico, Canada, Alaska, and Europe. It includes Oasis Class ships and is valid for six or seven night cruises year around. Included in the certificate is the cruise fare, taxes, and the standard recommended gratuities. The lower certificate levels are more limited in the season in which they can be used and the flexibility available.
Royal Cruise Dollars can also be purchased to supplement the certificate. These dollars can be purchased in any amount and can be applied towards things such as suite upgrades, specialty dining, spa treatments and shore excursions.
Travel Agent Friends & Family Rates
In an effort to keep its relationship with travel agents strong, Royal Caribbean has begun to regularly offer friends and family rates. These discounted rates let travel agents and their families take advantage of all the cruise line has to offer for a fraction of the cost. This program is part of the "Loyal to You" Program which was launched by Royal Caribbean in May, 2012. Discounted rates are regularly made available to encourage travel agents to regular sail and experience all that Royal Caribbean has to offer. This incentive program helps to give travel agents first hand experience on the cruise line and at the many different destinations to which they sail.
