Salvador is the capital of the state of Bahia, Brazil. The city has a charming Old Town that has been declared a World Heritage Site. People visit the area for it's impressive music scene and the popular Carnival celebrations that the they host. Salvador is at the cultural heart of the country of Brazil.

It's in a relatively quiet location where you won't be woken up by traffic. Staying here will help you feel less like a tourist and more like a traveler who's fully experiencing the area. It's set on a charming tree-lined residential street where you can walk to most things and it's right by Jardim Brasil, which is a nice square. The historical old city is about a ten minute taxi ride or fifteen minute bus ride away.

The staff are helpful and multilingual. You'll find people here who speak English, Portuguese, Spanish, and German. The hostel also has a variety of amenities available for guests including a large shared kitchen and several common areas.
