Sky Palace Hostel is a sister hostel to the popular Ming Palace International Hostel. It's located in central downtown Guilin and is just a minutes walk from many of the area's best attractions including Zhengyang Pedestrian Street, East and West Lane and XiaoYao Tower. It's about a ten minute walk to The Elephant Trunk Hill, Seven Star Park, Sun and Moon Twin Pagodas, and Jingjiang Princes Palace. Public transportation is also close by. There are buses that go to both the Northern Train Station and the Southern Train Station.

The hostel has a roof top bar and a variety of places to hang out. There's a relaxed atmosphere where you can socialize with other guests but it's still possible to get a good nights sleep here. The bar and terrace offer good views of the city and mountains.

It's also affordable and conveniently located near the train station and airport shuttle stop. The hostel staff can help you arrange tours of the area including trips to the Longji Rice Terraces.

There are a variety of activities that guests can participate in. Every Friday night they host All-You-Can-Eat barbecues and Mondays they host dumpling parties. There are also happy hours every day between 7 pm and midnight.

This is a very active and social place to stay. Despite its lively atmosphere, you can still enjoy a good nights sleep after a busy day exploring the area. The staff are respectful and helpful, and the guests are fun outgoing.

This Old Place International Youth Hostel is another popular and centrally located hostel in Guilin. It's near the train station and bus station where you can catch a bus to Yangshuo. It's also about fifteen minutes from Guilin's city center.

The hostel has a nice roof top bar where it's fun to hang out and meet guests. There are nice views of the lake and it's easy to meet other guests who are staying here. The staff also host any number of parties during the week. Every Wednesday there's the Chinese New Year Party Day, which is a dumpling making party. Every Saturday there's a roof top barbecue and music day when you can enjoy barbecue, music, and cold drinks. Friday nights are movie nights. Drinks are on sale and it's a mellow time to meet other guests.
