What is The Pantheon?

Formerly a church, this breathtaking neoclassical building is now a mausoleum for famous and important figures in French history. Visitors can see the burial sites of Marie Curie, Voltaire, and others. Also, terrific views can be found from the top of the dome which overlooks the Latin Quarter and the rest of Paris.

Families with kids really enjoy it, so it's worth visiting with children. This is a fairly romantic spot for couples, so be sure to come if you're traveling as a couple. It's fairly popular with budget travelers and backpackers, too. Younger travelers tend to find it quite interesting and fun.
