The Capricorn Coast is a stretch of coastline in Central Queensland, Australia. It covers more than 150 kilometers from one end to the other, but it has a low population density and several small towns spread throughout. Yeppoon is in the center of the region. Rockhampton is one of the larger towns in the area and has decent shopping options. The coast is also lined with many resorts and interesting places to visit. There are great snorkeling opportunities and islands you can visit. There are also wildlife sanctuaries and rainforest retreats. Many of the towns also have a historical feel and make an interesting place to explore.

Rockhampton Backpackers Hostel is one of the most popular hostels along the Capricorn Coast. It's located in Rockhampton and is just a short walk from the Fitzroy River and many different shops. If you're looking to split up the long bus ride between Airlie Beach and Hervey Bay, then this hostel makes a good base for exploring the area. They have a travel desk on-site where they can help you organize all kinds of trips and activities in the area.

The hostel has a pleasant setting that is surrounded by tropical gardens. There's a full kitchen that guests can use, a dining room where you can hang out, and a television and lounge room that is a great place to relax in large sofas. There's also a nice, tropically landscaped swimming pool.

The hostel has dorms as well as private twin and double rooms and cabins. All of the rooms are air conditioned and the dorms sleep either six or eight people. Male only, female only, and co-ed rooms are all available.
