Plitvice National Park in Croatia is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Europe. It has breathtaking natural beauty that is truly unique. The park has a system of sixteen interlinked lakes as well as a large forest area. The national park was established in 1949 and in 1979 the area became a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
