What is Sainte-Chapelle?
This gothic church on the Ile de la Cite in the middle of Paris showcases an absolutely gorgeous arrangement of stained-glass windows. The gothic masterpiece is often overshadowed by the nearby Notre Dame cathedral, but this one is worth seeing, too. Built in the 13th century, and home to important Christian relics, it should be on your list.
Families with children will sometimes enjoy it, but it really depends on their level of interest. Also, couples will love it, as it's very romantic. Definitely check it out if you're on a couple's trip. Budget travelers and backpackers usually enjoy visiting the cathedral, too.
