Hakone is a mountainous area that is west of Tokyo in Japan. The area is famous for its hot springs and most accommodation options include bathing facilities. If you don't stay the night, many hotels also open their baths up to visitors during the day for an additional fee.

There are also a variety of sights in the area. Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park is home to Lake Ashinoko, which is a popular tourist destination with great views of Mount Fuji. K's House Hakone is located about a kilometer from Hakone-Yumoto Station. It's part of a popular hostel chain in Japan and it is a reliable and comfortable place to stay. The hostel takes advantage of the hot spring setting there's a communal natural hot spring with open air bath where guests can relax.

This hostel is a bit removed from some of the area's restaurants. There's a kitchen on-site where many guests enjoy preparing their own meals. This is a great way to save some money as well.

The hostel is located about a forty minute train ride from Hakone-Yumoto Station on the Odakyu Line. It's also about a half hour drive from Lake Ashi (Ashinoko) and the Hakone Open Air Museum is less than a ten minute drive away. It's just a short walk from Gora Station on the Hakone Tozan Line.
