The property is just ten minutes walking distance from the train and bus stations, Europe's widest beach, and nightlife options. The hostel aims to meet every need with a fully equipped kitchen, DVD lounge, comfy beds, hot and powerful showers, fully stocked bar, beer garden, internet cafe, laundry facilities, and free parking. Since its new management in 2010, the Paintshop Hostel has become known for its friendly welcome, laid back atmosphere, relaxed and homely vibe, excellent facilities and easy access to the local surf and nightlife spots. Close to all the bars, clubs, casino, restaurants and beaches, it's a great option along the journey between Porto and Lisbon. The facility was created with the Traveler and Surfer in mind, and recently revamped in 2013, the Paintshop offers budget accommodation with private double/twin rooms and two, four or six bed dorms, with free breakfast and free internet/WiFi. You can cater for yourselves in the well-equipped kitchen or fill up on delicious local fish (peixe), meat (carne) and wine (vinho) at the many nearby bars and restaurants. The newly refurbished Paintshop Bar and Beer Garden is a great place to kick back after a long day at the beach and make new friends.

UAU Hostel is located right in front of the beach in Figueira da Foz. It is a charming villa surrounded by gardens, a quiet area with a magnificent terrace overlooking the sea. It features a lounge with cable TV, a barbecue area with coffee tables and a kitchen for the exclusive use of guests. It is located in Figueira da Foz 200 meters from the beach. It is a great place if you want a holiday by the beach and is close to the surf zone, fishing and only fifteen minutes from the International Rowing Course and Canoeing of Montemor-o-Velho. The hostel consists of 3 floors with gardens throughout the surrounding area. The first floor has a reception and a bar with television, tables and sofas where you can socialize with other guests. On the second floor there is a kitchen for exclusive guest use and a terrace with free use barbecue. On the third floor is a magnificent terrace with a beautiful view over the sea where you can relax and soak up the sun. The hostel offers both private and dorm-style rooms. There is no curfew and the staff are welcoming and helpful.
