Expert Advice from Local Travelers
We're asking our community members and registered users to contribute their experiences about Ao Nang.
Why would you recommend Ao Nang to budget travelers? Or, why not?
Definitely recommend Ao Nang! The cheap and delicious food at the quick restaurants was fantastic. We also found a clean place to stay that was really cheap not far from the beach, and it had a pool. We walked almost everywhere along the main stretch which had all of the shops down to the beach.
How can you save money during your time in Ao Nang?
We saved a lot by eating the cheaper food that was a bit back from the beach. It was delicious and just as amazing as the more expensive places. We also found a cheaper hotel a bit further away, too.
What was your favorite thing about Ao Nang?
So much to explore! The beaches are fantastic, and you can walk north or south and discover so much. The national park area at the north end is just stunning, and to the south is Railay and the beautiful cliffs. It's paradise!
