Madame Isabelle's House is located in a building that was originally built in 1831. Madame Isabelle's family moved into the house in the early 1900s and Madame Isabelle lived there with her husband until 2002. There's a rich history here and the house has been well furnished and maintained. It has many traditional New Orleans characteristics and it is a truly unique place to stay.
The hostel is located in a wonderful neighborhood in New Orleans. It's near many great restaurants and bars and although it's set back enough to be quiet, it's also very close to the area's best nightlife. Frenchmen Street is about a five minute walk away, Bourbon Street is about ten minutes, and Canal Street is fifteen minutes away on foot.
The hostel has both dorms and private rooms available. There are two and three person private rooms and most have a television, refrigerator, and attached bathroom. There are also dorms that sleep five, seven, or eight people.
