During our first trip to Joshua Tree National Park in 2006, we fell in love with its unique landscapes and fascinating vegetation. We've come back several times since then to experience it even more. Joshua Tree National Park is located in southern California. It's home to the iconic Joshua Tree, which has an other-worldly quality. There are also boulders spread throughout which are fun for scrambling or rock climbing. The desert landscapes offer dramatic views and the hikes pass through surreal landscapes.

There are a wide range of hikes that include easy, moderate, and strenuous options. Some of the best hikes include Discovery Trail, Boy Scout Trail, and Black Rock Canyon Panorama Loop.

Joshua Tree National Park doesn't top the list for most foodies. There aren't any restaurants inside the park, so you'll want to pack your own food and eat at one of the picnic areas.
