Costa Rica’s Pura Vida

Friday, May 31st, 2013

Busy, busy, busy … why is everyone always trying to make you DO something? Sometimes the best thing to do is nothing at all. Some places seem perfectly designed for … well, nothing. Costa Rica is such a place where the art of “being” rather than “being busy” takes on a whole new meaning. You might even discover another side of who you are. So hang your hammock, grab a pina colada, kick back and discover Costa Rica’s Pura Vida. (more…)

Travel Fashion Girl

Monday, October 15th, 2012

Packing for a trip is always important, but packing fashionably is often overlooked. That’s where Alex comes in. As an avid traveler with a background in fashion, she started TravelFashionGirl.com to help all of the wanderlusting souls look and feel better about their style while traveling. We asked Alex to tell us more about her interests, travels, and fashion knowledge, and here is what she had to say:

-How did you get into fashion? When did you first become interested in fashion?

I first became interested in fashion at age 13 and longed to one day own a retail shop. With this childhood dream, I studied at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles, my hometown, and worked in the fashion industry for seven years before I left my life to travel.

Over Yonderlust: Erica and Shaun

It sounds pretty incredible, especially since they gave up dream jobs working for a popular video game company. But now they are wandering through Honduras, living the long-term travel dream. Playing the Airfare Game

Sunday, April 10th, 2011

The other day, we finally purchased our plane tickets for our trip to China and Mongolia. We’ve been planning this trip for a while, but recent life events led us to actually settle on some specific dates for our trip. However, like any good traveler (and anyone who wants to save money), we’ve been monitoring the prices of tickets for quite some time in hopes to get the best bang for our buck. This ended up being a waste of time, because on many of the popular airline booking sites, the price they give you when you’re about to buy a ticket can be much different than the price you’re shown at the beginning of the process.

Let the following story be a warning to anyone trying to play this game.
