Fantastic hostel in perfect location. Everything was really clean, and the showers especially were very nice. Would definitely stay again. - Phoebe, Australia
What sets them apart?
This large hostel on the border between old town and new town has nice amenities and a fun social vibe.
Who's staying here?
Mostly younger travelers stay here such as backpackers, solo travelers, female travelers, and long term gap year travelers.
Sometimes they offer breakfast, and sometimes they don't, so enquire upon arrival.
This large hostel has some great views over the city from its top floor terrace, kitchen, and common area. The dorms are good and generally comfortable, and the location is pretty good as it's close to old town. With only dorms, younger budget travelers will have a good time here exploring the city and meeting other guests.
Dorms come in a variety of sizes from 4 beds up to 12 beds, and a female-only dorm option is available, too. All bathrooms are on the hallway. Dorms have lockers that are large enough for all of your stuff in a backpack, but might be too skinny for a larger suitcase.
The bathrooms here at the Cosmopole Hostel are nice, modern, and kept clean. They are large and spacious, and can usually accommodate all of the guests. Towels and hair dryers can be obtained from the front desk for a small fee if you didn't bring your own.
The top floor of the hostel has been turned into the common area. Here you'll find several areas. First is a nice outdoor patio terrace area with tables and great views. During warmer months, this is a nice spot to enjoy a drink or chat with other guests. Next is the communal kitchen where you can cook your own meals or have breakfast. Finally, the seating area has large tables for guests to hang out along with a pool table.
The rooftop terrace is a great place to hang out and enjoy the views over Prague in warmer months.
Located on the edge of old town and new town, this hostel is not far from everything that the historic city center of Prague has to offer. Charles Bridge, Wenceslas Square, all of the bars, restaurants, museums, and other places in old Prague are within a 20 minute walk. Also, the great neighborhood of new town is nearby with plenty of shopping and restaurants.
A tram line runs right near the hostel, allowing you to get around central Prague easily if you don't want to walk. The metro station is also just a few blocks away (line B).
With plenty of typical hostel amenities, any guest would be comfortable here. Wi-Fi, laundry, a pool table, a great kitchen, books, games, and more are all on the list.
The staff is friendly and professional. They work hard to keep the facilities clean and make sure everyone stays safe and comfortable.
Some say that this hostel is not as social as others nearby, and that the location is not quite as close to old town as they would like it to be. It's still within walking distance, though.
