This past December we took a cruise on the Norwegian Dawn from Tampa through the Western Caribbean. One of the ports of call was Costa Maya, Mexico, which is also known as Mahahual (the name of the actual town). This cruise port offers access to a number of interesting excursions in the southern area of the Yucatan such as snorkeling, relaxing on the nearby beaches, and of course visiting the nearby Chacchoben Mayan Ruins.

Peg Legging Around The World – Top Pirate Locations to Plunder

If you think about it, Pirate Travel is a completely sensible topic for posting about. It’s always good to get back to our (ancestral??) roots and remember that they were the original pioneers of the randomised, inquisitive and adventurous ideals of travel. Plundering their way around the world cove to cove, finding the unexpected and bathing in the riches on offer sounds faintly familiar.
