Had a brilliant and happy experience for my first time here at YHA London. Staff were very friendly and very nice and the rooms were great - not over crowded like you normally expect from a hostel. Very modern fresh rooms! - Jay

YHA London Oxford Street

YHA London Oxford Street is a comfortable, clean, and well located hostel. It attracts a diverse crowd of travelers so you'll meet people of all ages here. The rooms are quiet, particularly if you're away from the side street. The beds are comfortable, and the atmosphere is relaxed. This isn't a particularly social hostel, as it's for travelers looking to explore the city. But there is a bar where you can grab some food or drinks.

The dorm rooms are divided into separate male and female rooms. Each dorm sleeps up to four people. There are also private rooms that sleep two, three, or four people. These are popular with groups of friends or families traveling together.

All of the rooms use shared bathrooms in the hallway. Despite being located outside the room, the bathrooms are close by so there's minimal hassle. Towels and hairdryers are available for rent in the reception area.
Bar
Grab a pizza or drink from the hostel's bar and restaurant before heading out for the night. The pizza is good and the prices are reasonable. It's a casual environment and convenient if you want a quick bite to eat without heading out into town.
Common Areas
The large lounge area is the perfect place to relax with a book or catch up with friends back home. There are comfortable seats and plenty of room for guests to hang out. There's also a shared kitchen where you can cook up your own food. It's great for guests who want to save a little money on eating out.

What's Nearby?
Located in the center of Oxford, this hostel is in a beautiful part of London. It's right by the city's best shopping street and is surrounded by the bars of Soho. Nearby you'll find a number of sights including Piccadilly Circus and Buckingham Palace. You can walk to both Oxford University's Botanic Gardens and Magdalen College in about 15 minutes. Head to Chinatown for some delicious food or go to Leicester Square for a show or celebrity watching. It's just 10 minutes away on foot.
Nearby Transportation
This hostel is very well connected to all of London. There are three major underground stations nearby. Oxford Circus, Tottenham Court Road and Piccadilly Circus are all easy walking distances away. You can quickly catch a train to either Heathrow Airport or St Pancras Train Station, or catch the Gatwick Express train at Victoria Station, which is just two stops away.

Activities

The hostel organizes a number of activities for guests including pub crawls that take you to some of Soho's best clubs. If you want a more relaxing night in you'll enjoy the movie nights. There are also walking tours during the day that offer a nice overview of the different neighborhoods around the city.

The staff here are professional and helpful. They're available 24 hours a day and are quick to address any concerns that you might have. It's a laid back hostel where everyone is respectful of each other, and the staff keep things running smoothly.
