New Samay Hostel

Samay Hostel Seville is a very affordable place to stay in a very central part of Seville. You can enjoy the convenience of walking everywhere without paying the high prices you typically find in the area.

The rooms are large and very clean, and the atmosphere is laid back and mellow. The staff are travellers and backpackers themselves so they know and love travelling and come from a diverse set of countries and speak a number of different languages.

The Facilities

Dorms
Dorm Bed $24.59
This hostel has a wide range of dorm rooms that sleep anywhere from four to twelve people with everything in between. If you're on a particularly tight budget, you'll appreciate the cheap beds in the twelve room dorms, but the quiet setting of the smaller dorms appeals to many people who can spend a little more but still what a budget place to sleep.

The rooms are very clean and larger than you'd expect. The furnishings are a basic but there are shelves where you can put your belongings.
Private Rooms
Private Room $47.50
If you want a more private setting, check out one of the twin or double private rooms. They have basic furnishings and simple decor. There are also rooms that fit small groups.
Bathrooms
Most of the rooms have en-suite bathrooms, which is a nice plus if you want to avoid trekking down the hall for a shower. The bathrooms are basic with limited shelving but they're kept very clean.
Common Areas
Inside the hostel you can relax in a common area on one of the soft sofas. Enjoy the book you brought or find a new one at the book exchange. It's the perfect place to unwind after a busy day exploring the city. This is also the place with the strongest wi-fi as well as a public computer.

The hostel also has a shared kitchen that guests are welcome to use to prepare their own meals.
Outdoor Space
Samay Hostel's rooftop terrace is the place to go to enjoy the Andalucian sun and sip a cool drink. It's a nice place to sit back and relax with a book. There are tables and chairs a bit a of shade if you want to escape the sun.

This hostel is all about location. It's housed in a town home in the historic barrio of Santa Cruz and is walking distance to most of the city's most popular attractions. With just a ten minute stroll you can reach Real Alcazar, Seville Cathedral, and the Jewish Quarter.

In the surrounding neighborhood you'll find many popular flamenco bars and tapas bars. Seville's Alcazar Gardens is also nearby.
Nearby Transportation
Samay Hostel is less than a twenty minute walk from Santa Justa Train Station. If you flew in, the EA bus can take you to Seville Airport, with the stop just a ten minute walk away.

This hostel has all of the standard amenities including Wi-Fi, luggage storage, and all kinds of travel information. There's a kitchen (that opens around 7:30 in the morning) where you can prepare your own meals and vending machines if you just want to pick up a quick snack. The staff here are truly what make the place great. They're travellers themselves and come from a number of different countries. They love Seville and are eager to please. Don't hesitate to ask for suggestions or let them know about your concerns. They also speak a number of different languages, so whatever you'll background you can likely find someone to help you.

Heads Up

Some guests say this hostel is a bit dated and has a quiet atmosphere. There aren't security lockers in the rooms, but there are safes that guests can use. The cleanliness of each room depends on your bunk mates, but most people felt the rooms were cleaned regularly.
