Alcazaba Premium Hostel

Alcazaba Premium Hostel is a boutique hostel in Malaga that makes a great base for exploring the city and everything it has to offer. The rooms are basic but comfortable and clean and the staff is friendly. There's a rooftop bar and restaurant that offers truly impressive views of the city. The bar is run by a separate group and it draws visitors from outside of the hostel. It's a fun place to hang out and it stays busy late into the night.

Dorms
Dorm Bed $53.50
Guests can choose between dorm rooms that sleep six, eight, or ten people. There are both female only and co-ed rooms available. The rooms are modern and clean with simple decor and basic furnishings. Many of them also offer great views of Alcazaba monument. Every room has its own attached bathroom with a shower and toilet.
Private Rooms
Private Room $29.72
In addition to the dorm rooms, this hostel has private double rooms as well as family style rooms. Some of the double rooms have their own balcony that offers impressive views. The family rooms have various combinations of full beds and/or bunk beds or twin beds. They're suitable for small groups.
Bathrooms
Every room has it's own attached bathroom. Like the rest of the hostel, they're cleaned regularly and are generally reliable. Some of the fixtures could use some minor repairs, but for the most part the bathrooms are nice.
Bar
The rooftop bar is a fun and lively place to hang out. There's a restaurant and reasonably priced drinks. The bar is run by an outside group and it brings in a crowd that isn't affiliated with the hostel, so it can be a bit hard to meet other travelers. Still, it's a fun place to spend some time. There's also a great view and comfortable seating.
Common Areas
Inside, this hostel has a large lounge area with comfortable sofas and strong wi-fi. If you left your laptop at home, you can use the public computers that are available to guests. There's also a game room where you can hang out with other guests.

What's Nearby?
This hostel's location can't be beat. It's in the historical heart of the city just steps from the Picasso Museum. The Malaga Cathedral is also just a few minutes walk away and La Malagueta Beach is about a 10 to 15 minute walk away.

In there area you'll find plenty of shops, restaurants, clubs, and bars. There's no need to go far, because you're really in the middle of the action.
Nearby Transportation
Malaga Maria Zambrano Train Station is just under two miles from the hostel. Malaga Airport is about 7.5 miles away. You can check in with the hostel staff if you need a taxi to the airport.

Staff

The staff here are friendly and helpful. They'll knowledgeable about the city and can call a taxi if you need one. The staff also has control of the AC temperatures, so don't hesitate to let them know if your room is too hot or cold.
